I bought this to hold my compressor and have an extended workbench against my Craftsman tool chests. Solid construction and it was easy to put together. I added a solid shelf as the wire shelf alone sagged with the weight of the compressor. It was an easy fix and preferable to the wire.Well made, super sturdy, great powder coatI bought the 2-count package of these shelves. They were fairly straightforward to assemble, although the final result is not that sturdy and seems like it might give out at any second. This is not the first time I have put together a shelf like this. The horizontal parts of the shelves want to pop out and the supports underneath the shelves don't want to stay in place. There's also some sizable gaps between the shelves and the frame. It's possible I could disassemble each shelf and try to seat the crossmembers better (aka wail on things with a rubber mallet) then reassemble, but I took care to do that the first time.I would hesitate to put anything on this shelf that I wouldn't want to drop on the floor from the same height. Ok for toolbags but not ok for potted plants or paint cans.I also would definitely hesitate to stack these shelves with the stacking bracket. You would 100% definitely want to mount it to the wall to keep it from tipping.Bonus points for only having 1 out of 8 of the screw heads strip out during tightening.Poor detail on instructions, lots of parts not needed if you will not be stacking multiple units vertically….Overall nice storage rack that matches my cabinets! We purchased and received these products last year when we moved into our new home. They arrived and were easy to assemble. At the time they seemed a bit flimsy for Craftsman products, but we installed them in the garage and loaded them up with miscellaneous small items - like Halloween decorations, bike helmets, boxing gloves, etc. These items are bulky but not heavy, and definitely under the weight rated for each shelf. In the middle of the night our cat (10 lbs) jumped onto the shelf and one of them collapsed, spilling the contents. It was the bracket that bent and caused the collapse. These shelving units are junk - at least the ones we received. I'm very disappointed.Pros: heavy duty, attractive, sturdy with the wall fixing bracket which is adjustable, easy to adapt to your space and needs (can be 3-wide instead of 2-tall or 2 half-height stand alone shelves)Cons: assembly was a little more complicated than I expected, and the instructions weren’t very detailed. Being a detail-oriented person, there are some bolts/nuts on the wrong side of the corner pieces (which I could fix by disassembling the whole thing, but that’s too much work).I’d buy this again, and actually wish I had purchased 2 instead of the plastic one you can see on the right in the 2nd photo.I’ve bought other racks. This rack assembly was ridiculously complex in comparison and the finished product left a little to be desired.Loose safety pin locks and loose shelf tie wraps turned out to be okay but just seemed a little lesser quality than other racks I’ve purchased and assembled where everything tightened down. The product also had some manufacturer’s defects where the metal was a bit twisted and didn’t come together very well without coaxing. In the end, it’s one of few options in a shorter shelf range and it will get the job done.Easy to assemble . look looking, a real value for the price. sturdy and strong
